MADRID, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Luis Suarez and Samuel Umtiti scored the goals as FC Barcelona recovered from their midweek Champions League exit to beat Valencia 2-1 to extend their lead at the top of the Liga Santander table and set a new record of 39 unbeaten matches in Spain.

Barca rode their luck at times and had goalkeeper Ter Stegen to thank for keeping an impressive Valencia at bay until the closing minutes of the game.

Goncalo Guedes had the first chance of the game, but Ter Stegen was at full stretch to save his curling shot and as so often happens against Barca, the league leaders needed just one chance to score as Luis Suarez accepted Coutinho's pass to score.

Guedes continued to be a constant threat and had two more chances; one of which was blocked and another which drew another save from the Barca keeper, who was also called into action to deny Valencia's top scorer, Rodrigo. แทง บอล ส เต็ ป

Valencia's midfield was giving Barca a hard-time as they looked to end their 38-run of games without defeat, but a Messi header wide of the post reminded them you can never be overconfident in the Camp Nou.

The visitors should have been level just three minutes after the break after Rodrigo took advantage of Umtiti's error to round Ter Stegen, only for Gerard Pique to clear his shot off the line when it looked easier to score.

Again the miss was punished as Umtiti atoned for his error heading home Barca's second from a Coutinho corner in the 52nd minute, before Coutinho, who was having an influential game, flashed a long range shot just wide of the post.

Neto then produced an acrobatic save to deny Andres Iniesta's acrobatic volley, while Messi fired just wide.

Valencia got a late lifeline when Dembele brought down Jose Gaya and Dani Parejo scored a penalty which sneaked under Ter Stege, but there was no time for an equalizer. แทง บอล ส เต็ ป

sbobet asian Juventus saw their lead at the top of Serie A cut to four points after they were held to a 1-1 draw at Crotone and Napoli came from behind to beat Udinese 4-2. It was looking good for Massimiliano Allegri's men when Alex Sandro headed in a cross from Douglas Costa after 17 minutes.

But they were pegged back in the 65th minute when Simy scored with a neat overhead kick, and the home side held on for a point. Napoli found themselves a goal down after 41 minutes when Jakub Jankto slammed in a first-time shot, but equalised shortly afterwards when Lorenzo Insigne coolly fired home.

Udinese were back in front when Svante Ingelsson lashed home from inside the box but Raul Albiol's header from a corner hauled Napoli level once again. The home side went in front for the first time with just under 20 minutes remaining as Arkadiusz Milik tapped home after a loose ball fell kindly for him, and Lorenzo Tonelli added a fourth to make the game safe five minutes later.

Roma moved up to third with a 2-1 win over Genoa.

A composed finish from Cengiz Under gave Roma a 17th-minute lead and an own goal from Ervin Zukanovic early in the second half put the home side firmly in control. Genoa pulled a goal back just after the hour through Gianluca Lapadula's stunning long-range effort.

The game of the night came at Stadio Artemio Franchi as Lazio grabbed a 4-3 win over Fiorentina to move fourth. There was early drama as home goalkeeper Marco Sportiello was sent off for handling an attempted cross from Ciro Immobile outside his area. sbobet asian

Lazio also found themselves down to 10 men when Alessandro Murgia was dismissed for a last-man challenge and they conceded from the resulting free-kick as Jordan Veretout found the net. Veretout scored his second of the night from the penalty spot, but Lazio were back in it before the break when Luis Alberto scored another well-taken free-kick.

They were level in first-half stoppage-time when Martin Caceres powered in a header from a corner, but Veretout completed his hat-trick after a fine solo run to put the Viola 3-2 up in the 55th minute. Felipe Anderson levelled, collecting a pass from Adam Marusic and unleashing a fierce drive from the edge of the box and Luis Alberto snatched the winning goal moments later following more good work from Marusic.

AC Milan were held to a 1-1 draw at Torino, who missed a fourth-minute penalty.

Giacomo Bonaventura's superb curling shot put the visitors in front but Lorenzo De Silvestri nodded in from a corner. De Silvestri was sent off in time added on. Elsewhere, Atalanta's hopes of qualifying for next season's Europa League were boosted by a comfortable 3-0 win at Benevento, Duvan Zapata scored with last kick of the game as Sampdoria snatched a 1-0 win over Bologna and Mauricio Lemos took advantage of a defensive mistake to earn Sassuolo a 1-0 victory at Verona. sbobet asian

Alexis Sanchez has added incentive for Arsenal's visit, says Phil Jones
maxbet Alexis Sanchez will have extra motivation for Arsenal's visit to Old Trafford on Sunday, says Manchester United team-mate Phil Jones. United signed Sanchez from Arsenal in January in a swap deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan move to the Emirates. The protracted transfer followed a long period of uncertainty over Sanchez's future in which his commitment to Arsenal was repeatedly questioned.

Jones believes Sanchez will be eager to have the upper hand over his former employers this weekend, in what will be Arsene Wenger's final match at Old Trafford as Arsenal manager. Asked if Sanchez will be affected by lining up against his old side, Jones told MUTV: "Not so much at home. I think, if it was away at the Emirates, it might be a bit different. Going back to a place where he's very fond of, knows the pitch well and the fans well. maxbet

"So, at home, it's a little bit different but he will still get that added incentive to try to put one over on them." Jones called for a warm reception for Wenger, who has clashed with United manager Jose Mourinho in the past. "He's been a fantastic manager," said Jones. "I've seen a lot of things in the press at the moment and it's true. He changed the game of football and the way teams like to play. "He's managed some terrific Arsenal teams over the years, that I've grown up watching, and he should be respected and get the send-off he deserves." maxbet
